Joburg building on fire

A fire broke out in an abandoned building on Main Reef Road in Roodepoort on Monday, Johannesburg emergency services said.
Spokeswoman Nana Radebe said the fire broke out in the building's basement at around 1am.
She said the cause of the fire was not yet known and no injuries have been reported.
"The fire is now (6.50am) under control, although it has not been completely extinguished."
Main Reef road has been closed and motorists are being diverted to other routes, said Radebe. - Sapa
