Fulham tries to oust Premier League chairman

London - Fulham wants Dave Richards removed as Premier League chairman over what it claims was his role in dissuading a player from joining the west London club.
Fulham is taking legal action over allegations that Richards persuaded England striker Peter Crouch to join Tottenham so that financially troubled Portsmouth would receive more money up front.
Fulham believes it had a verbal agreement to sign Crouch for £11 millionfrom Portsmouth in July 2009 but he joined Tottenham for £9 million.
A Premier League inquiry, led by an independent lawyer, cleared Richards of wrongdoing but Fulham has lodged a case with Britain's High Court. - Sapa-AP
