London - A four-man rowing team has broken the 114-year-old record for crossing the Atlantic from New York to Britain by 11 days.
Skippered by Scotland's Leven Brown, the team left on June 17 and rowed 5 249km to the Isles of Scilly off England's southwest tip in 43 days, 21 hours, 26 minutes, 48 seconds.
The previous record of 55 days, 13 hours was set in 1896 by two Norwegians.
The crew that arrived on Saturday also set the record for the most ocean miles rowed in 24 hours: 190 kilometers on July 14.
