Bottomless Jolie-Pitt of charity outlays

LOS ANGELES: Hollywood's glamour couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, may also be its most generous couple. The movie stars gave a combined $6.8 million to charity in 2008.

According to the 2008 tax return for the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, the amount was more than double what the Hollywood couple gave in 2007. The biggest recipients were Global Health with $2 million, Human Rights Watch with $1 million and Pitt's Hurricane Katrina charity which received $1 million.

Other contributions included $500 000 dollars to the Armed Services YMCA of the US Army and about $1 million to projects in Cambodia, the country from which Jolie adopted her first child. - Sapa-dpa
