Geldof goes back
November 27, 2009 Edition 2
KOREM, Ethiopia: Twenty-five years after releasing a hit single to raise funds for Ethiopians in the grip of famine, Bob Geldof has visited the village that was then worst-affected and where a hospital is now being built.
Dozens of cheering women and children greeted him in Korem, 600km north of Addis Ababa, on Wednesday.
"It's a miracle to see you all in healthy shape," Geldof told the crowd, which included famine survivors. - Sapa-AFP
