Fifa plan for ticket offices

FIFA will invest in ticketing offices in all of the host cities to boost World Cup ticket sales to fans.

Fifa secretary-general Jerome Valcke said he had learned from this year's Confederations Cup, when organisers had to give away tickets to some games to boost attendance.

He said yesterday that Fifa would spend up to $4.1 million (R30.2m) on ticket centres to accommodate the local habit of buying tickets late. - Sapa-AP
