Search is on for the perfect Mr Gay China

BEIJING: A gay pageant would be held for the first time in China, where homosexuality remains largely hidden, to crown the man who would represent the country at a worldwide contest, organisers said yesterday.

The Mr Gay China pageant will take place in Beijing on January 15 ahead of the Mr Gay World competition in Norway in February, saidBen Zhang, founder of gay website gayographic.org. The pageant will be open to anyone who lives in China. - Sapa-AFP
