Trio rescued at sea

A SURFER on a boogie board paddled out to save three friends from drowning when they were swept out to sea by a rip-current,the NSRI said in Gleneadon, East London.
Johan van der Walt, 16, paddled out 800m to rescue Jacque Liebenberg, 13, Suzie Muller, 12, and Tania Muller, 18, and kept them afloat by hanging on to his board.
They were recovering in hospital, said an NSRI spokesman. - Sapa
