Rabies watch
December 29, 2009 Edition 2
MOSCOW: Fears of contact with a rabies-stricken dog have resulted in 41 people being admitted to hospitals in Moscow.
The patients, three of them children, were being treated for rabies, Russian chief sanitary inspector Gennadi Onishchenko said. None had shown signs of rabies so far.
The dog, which died of rabies a few days ago, had bitten some people a fortnight ago, while others had had contact with the animal's saliva - Sapa-dpa
